The HGF Youth Team were gathered on Saturday 24th January 2015 to fundraise for Strong Bones Children’s Charitable Trust. On this cold Saturday afternoon in Billericay High Street, Essex, The Youth Team gathered with their buckets raising money for the wonderful and brave Isabella. Isabella is one of the many young children in the UK who suffer from bone diseases. All funds collected were donated to Strong Bones and directly to Isabella.
Some of The Youth Team have shared their experience of the day:

Jaya – “After hearing young Isabella’s story, I was sad and wanted to help. The bucket fundraiser helped me build up my confidence. I would love to do more bucket fundraisers in the future.”

Ashish – “After getting up in the morning I was very excited about the bucket collection for Isabella. However, I became disheartened when people would walk by, ignoring such a worthwhile cause. However, my fortune began to change as I continued and more and more people donated! The highlight of the afternoon came when an elderly man thanked me for my efforts! And he reassured me that the work I was doing was all worthwhile.”

Alisha – “Even though it was very cold it was well worth fundraising on the street as we raised lots of money!”

Sarika – “Even though it was such a cold day it was warming to see how generous the public were for such a worthwhile cause.”

Amit – “It was an enjoyable and confidence building experience and was a real learning curve. I’m grateful that I could help Isabella through this event.”

Simran – “It was a pleasure to show commitment to making a difference small steps at a time. It was inspiring seeing how caring the public were; one of whom offered me to buy me a soup, as it was so cold!”
